Current projects include co-authoring and researching reports on Customer Relationship Management in the Public Sector. Organised the e-strategy for Ken Clarke's Conservative leadership campaign by project managing his innovative website and database systems. Other work includes installing and maintaining a parliamentary database system for BT, Corporate Communications; advising public affairs departments on contact management systems for Westminster, EU and devolved UK institutions, building a parliamentary votes website in conjunction with the BBC; building a database of key political opinion-formers in London; developing an internet search engine and extranet for a parliamentary publishing company.

Provided Parliamentary Affairs advice to clients including Bass plc, British Steel, British Rail, Bristol Development Corporation and Institution of Electrical Engineers. Responsibilities included: business development, liaison with clients from both the public and private sectors and IT system design, implementation and support. Also, worked as a part time researcher in the House of Commons.

General Election Planner
1990-92
Headed the in-house team that provided research for the 1992 General Election campaign. Collected and analysed varied data including opinion polls and economic statistics enabling identification of ideal election date. Provided key information for "War Book" that outlined campaign strategy. Developed bespoke software to collect, manage and display election campaign strategy data.

National Youth Organiser 1988-90
As the National Organiser of the Young Conservatives and International Secretary of the Conservative Collegiate Forum, the Conservative student organisation, my main responsibilities were providing the secretariat for their national committees, the organisation of conferences and training events, and liaison with the Youth media.

Research Assistant, House of Commons 1987-92
Worked for Phillip Oppenheim MP (Amber Valley), Anthony Coombs MP (Wyre Forest) and Gerald Bowden MP (Dulwich). Responsible for the preparation of research papers and speeches on a wide variety of subjects. Handled surgery casework and liased with local and national media.

General Election Organiser 1986-87
Worked for Walsall North Conservative Association in the run up to the 1987 election as their Organiser and Local Government Election Agent in this industrial West Midlands constituency. The Labour majority was reduced to 1790, a Conservative swing of 2.3%, against the national trend.
